Martin Girardi is a shooting researcher from Oregon. He holds a dual BA in evolutionary biology and studio art from the University of Chicago, where his bachelor’s exhibition received the Louis Sudler Prize. His current practice aims to interrogate the nexus between humanity and its environment by documenting the vestiges of frontier as both an ecological and cultural design. He’s recently graduated with Distinction from the master’s program in Wildlife Filmmaking at the University of the West of England, affiliated with the BBC Studios Natural History Unit.
